  • Around the Piano
    July 28, 6:30 PM. Featured guest. Special program presented by The Cannon Club at The Gallery Inn. Around the Piano is a 45 to 60 minutes virtual broadcast of interviews and performances hosted by Jan D’Esopo — artist and founder of the STEINWAY SOCIETY of PR, and internationally renowned Pianist Jose Ramos Santana. Chatting with top figures from music, arts and entertainment we learn of their personal experiences and reactions during Covid times. The program started on March 24. 2016 Highlights

  • May: Release of the CD Piazzolla Here & Now – Reviews and interview available in Fanfare Magazine Sept/October issue
  • June: Italy. Duo Cueto-Roldán performed the opening recital of the Alba Music Festival. Tour closed with a performance for the Latina Rotary Club. Other performances included a benefit recital for Noel Lester at Grace United Church in Frederick, with cellist Lachezar Kostov.

  • January: MSMTA Festival: “TIERRA LINDA” Music of Argentina and Carlos Guastavino. A presentation honoring Guastavino’s 100th birthday. Born April 5th 1912, died October 29th 2000.
  • March. Hood College. Retirement Celebration Concert of Noel Lester. Music for two pianos by Carlos Guastavino.
  • April 1, 2012: Hearts for Art’s Sake at Villa Assumpta: Concert Homage to Carlos Guastavino. With Elizabeth Hart, soprano, and José Cueto, violinist.
  • March 22, Catholic University of America. Latin American Music Guest Lecturer: Music of Argentina. Roots & Traditions. The music of Carlos Guastavino.
  • April 5, Catholic University of America. Latin American Music, Guest Lecturer: Music of Argentina. Roots & Traditions. The music of Alberto Ginastera, Astor Piazzolla and other contemporaries.
  • May 18, at Germano’s Restaurant in Little Italy: Todo Argentina. Revolution, Folklore, and Tango: With Elizabeth Hart, soprano, and José Cueto, violinist.
  • May & July: Introducing winners of the 2011 Liszt-Garrison to Maryland audiences. Mentoring young musicians.
  • Sunday, October 28, 2012 – Chamber Music at Buckingham Choice. With violinist José Cueto and guest artists.
  • Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 3 pm: First concert of the series Grace at Grace. Coordinator and Moderator. A fundraiser event to benefit a children dedicated non-profit organization and the Liszt-Garrison Competition.

Season 2011-2012 included Franz Liszt 200th celebration with several concerts in the USA, including the American Liszt Society Festival in Georgia at UGA. The year culminated with the Fifth anniversary celebration of the Liszt-Garrison Festival and International Piano Competition at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
